Founded in 1989 and formally established in 2014, the Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research (LISER) is a public research institute under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research. LISER conducts fundamental and applied research in the social sciences to advance knowledge, inform national and international decision-making, and engage with society. It has become a pillar of the Luxembourg research ecosystem.
